Eataly SoHo — our third location in New York City — has officially opened its doors. The eagerly awaited store is located in a historically landmarked building at 200 Lafayette Street nestled in the heart of SoHo, at the intersection of Broome Street.
After opening the first location in Torino, Italy, in 2007, we made our United States debut with the 2010 opening of our flagship store in the Flatiron district, which has since become a beloved destination for New Yorkers and visitors alike. Following the successful expansion to Westfield WTC mall in the Financial District in 2016, we're now increasing our presence in one of the world's most iconic neighborhoods — SoHo — known for its trendy atmosphere and vibrant shopping culture.
“We are very proud to expand our presence in New York City with a third store and to open in such an incredible and iconic neighborhood as SoHo. North America is the focus for expansion over the next five years, and we are actively pursuing several initiatives throughout the territory, from increasing the floor space of our flagship store in the Flatiron district to actively seeking new locations in Manhattan and throughout the United States and Canada,” says Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America. “Eataly embodies in its DNA the authentic Italian culinary culture and lifestyle and our goal is to continue building our love story with the North America community, especially with this opening in a magical city that has welcomed us from the beginning."
Eataly SoHo spans nearly 20,000 square feet. Designed with New Yorkers in mind, it offers an array of iconic Eataly experiences, showcasing the brand's high-quality and authentic Italian DNA. Eataly SoHo features a restaurant and a café open all day, as well as a specialty market with a carefully chosen selection of Italian and local delicacies.
THE RESTAURANT
The restaurant is the anchor experience at Eataly SoHo and is a place of conviviality, with a focus on the icons of Italian gastronomy. The menu features our signature dishes including a pasta section where guests can choose from handmade fresh pasta or durum wheat pasta. To level up the dining experience, Eataly SoHo offers the indulgent Piedmontese Tajarin al Tartufo Bianco, a handcrafted pasta dish served with table side shaved Tartufo di Alba for the perfect white truffle experience.
A variety of authentic Pizza Napoletana will be cooked to order, from the traditional Margherita Verace to Quattro Formaggi DOP. Additional menu highlights include a selection of seafood options and premium meats such as the new Fornello Pugliese, a Pugliese-style skewer served with sides. The wine selection is formidable, with more than 300 Italian bottles on the list alongside iconic Italian cocktails and mocktails.
THE MARKET
Perfectly embodying the lifestyle of Italy, the products in the market are the best versions of simple, high-quality staples that elevate everyday dining at home or on-the-go. The market offers thousands of imported Italian and local products as well as fresh house-made ingredients – including over 200 salumi and formaggi, 100 monocultivar extra virgin olive oils, aged balsamic vinegars, 200 shapes of pasta (both fresh and artisanal), sweets, a selection of meat cuts and seafood, and seasonal produce. Opening just in time for the festive season, Eataly SoHo carrys a selection of premium artisanal panettoni and pandori, including the inaugural collection of Eataly Panettone, and a large selection of gift boxes.
THE CAFÉ
An Italian all-day coffee bar experience, the café is designed to be a daily ritual, serving espresso and cappuccino for the perfect colazione all’Italiana, as well as pizza alla pala and a variety of savory and sweet options. Pastries are made in-house by our pastry chefs daily, from chocolate to vegan croissants, plus a selection of housemade cakes and tarts. Savory options for lunch include our iconic Roman-style pizza alla pala, panini made with fresh-baked focaccia, and additional seasonal offers. To end the day at the café counter, wine glasses and cocktails will be served.
