Our 10 personal commandments, numbered from 0 to 9, mark the path, goals and daily life of the people who make, live and enjoy Eataly.

In November 2002, the Eataly concept was born from Oscar Farinetti’s idea sketched on a piece of paper. The idea was simple: to gather high-quality food at sustainable and reasonable prices, to celebrate Italian biodiversity, and to create an informal, natural, and simple place to EAT, SHOP, and LEARN — all under one roof.
