Roman Style 'Pizza alla Pala'

From Napoletana, Siciliana to Romana, pizza is an art that is interpreted in various flavors all over Italy. Each region has its own approach to this classic dish, from the preparation of the dough to the type of oven used to bake the pizza. Travel with us to Rome, Italy’s iconic capital located in the central Italian region of Lazio, to discover Pizza alla Pala, a Roman style of pizza with an oval flatbread that is served on a wooden pala, or “paddle.” This style of pizza is renowned for its thicker, crispy outside, soft and fluffy core, and its complementary toppings which after baked, yields to a soft, fluffy interior for each perfect bite. Join our Chef of La Scuola as they take to you Rome to dive into the traditional Roman style Pizza alla Pala. In this class, guests will:
    • Learn about Roman style pizza from Lazio.
    • Participate in building your pizza alla from scratch. 
    • Enjoy a selection of pizza alla pala's pizza while sipping on a beer or wine.
    • Take home adapted recipes and wine/beer notes.

Additional Information
    • If you are planning to attend with a separate ticket/order holder, please let us know so we can plan to seat you together. Please note, if purchased a single ticket, you will be seated at a table of two with another individual/party. Please email LA.lascuola@eataly.com to confirm.
    • Restrictions: Ages 12 and older. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person. 
    • Physical tickets are not required, all tickets will be sent via email and be presented at the door to check-in for the class.
    • All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older.
