The Chiaro di Luna, meaning Moonlight, 'Sicilia IGP' Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Centonze is made in Castelvetrano, a small town close to Trapani, in the region of Sicily, with olives that are hand-picked and cold-pressed exclusively at night. The Chiaro di Luna has an intense green color with golden reflections, and it is a blend of 80% Nocellara del Belice olives, 15% Cerasuola olives, and 5% Biancolilla olives. At the palate, there is a persistent flavor of spice and herbs. Well balanced with a pleasing aftertaste of tomato, almond, and artichoke. A medium fruity flavor that is round and full.
This Chiaro di Luna won the Gold Medal at 2019 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
It is perfect with bruschetta, pizza and pasta.
